Getting There
Getting There

Pauntley Court is nestled in the Gloucestershire countryside, offering a beautiful and peaceful setting for our wedding.

Here’s how you can get there from London:

Train

The nearest train station to Pauntley Court is Gloucester Station, which has direct trains from London Paddington taking about 1 hour 40 minutes. You can book your train tickets via Trainline.

From Gloucester, it's a 20-minute taxi ride to the venue. Uber is available in the city to get to Pauntly Court. However, if you are staying outside of Gloucester a taxi must be pre-booked in advance. You should also pre-book your taxi to return back from Pauntly Court. You can find local taxi numbers in the FAQ section.

Car

Pauntley Court is about a 2.5-hour drive from central London. The venue is easily accessible via the M4 and M5 motorways. Parking is available on-site, but please let us know if you're driving so we can ensure there is enough space for everyone.

FAQ

FAQ

I'm travelling internationally, when should I arrive to London?

It is best to be in London at least 1 day before the wedding to have enough time to rest and get to the venue. We highly recommend arriving in the Cotswolds area the day before the wedding and staying for both the 16th and 17th of September. This helps avoid any last-minute train delays on the day itself and ensures you’re well-rested for the celebration. Please note: there will be no trains running back to London after the wedding, so staying locally on the night of the 17th is essential. We suggest looking for accommodation in or around Gloucester, which is a short drive from the venue.

What is the dress code?

Formal Attire — suits and dresses, please. For men, classic colours like black, navy, or grey are perfect. For women, pastel tones. We kindly ask that you avoid wearing white.

The garden footpaths have fine gravel & grass - please consider it when planning your shoes. Stilettos will not survive on the gravel, but thicker heels or platforms will do the job.

Will the ceremony and reception be inside or outside?

Our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner will be held outside. The party will be inside the ball room. If the weather doesn't collaborate, everything will be happening inside.

What’s the weather like that time of year?

In mid-September we expect mild weather with a chance of chill in the evening. We suggest bringing a light layer just in case.

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony will begin exactly at 3:00 PM, so we recommend arriving 30-40 minutes prior to allow a little extra time.

What time will the evening end?

Our party will wind down at 10:45 PM with venue closing at 11 PM.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is on-site parking available for guests. If you're planning to drive, please let us know so we can plan accordingly.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We'll be serving canapés and drinks on arrival and during cocktail hour after the ceremony. Cocktail hour will be followed by dinner. We will send you the mains options to choose from closer to the date.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, the drinks are on us — enjoy!

Can children attend the wedding?

While we love your little ones, we are planning an adult-only celebration and we hope you’ll enjoy a night off celebrating with us.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unless a guest was invited we are unable to accommodate any additional attendees.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask guests to keep phones away during the ceremony so our photographer and videographer can capture everything beautifully. After that — snap away!
